Dear Friends,
Afghan Council UK in collaboration with a group of young Afghans is in the process of organising an event, the Afghan Youth Conference. In its essence, this event is an effort to manifest the potential of Afghan youth and afford them an opportunity to express themselves as a strong, dynamic and informed stratum of the population whose participation and subsequent contribution in the future of Afghanistan must be encouraged and fostered.
A number of workshops - covering very key issues faced by Afghanistan and the Afghan youth - will be conducted and delegates from the relevant British departments and Afghan Embassy will also be invited to participate.
In addition, there will be entertainment segments that follow. Since this is our event; therefore, the onus of organising it successfully lies entirely upon us. We invite your earnest cooperation and participation in the followings:

Animation/Computer Graphics
Creative individuals who are adept in computer graphics/animation are very welcome to participate and add something new and unique to the event. Please contact: manuela@afghancounciluk.org
Afghan dance and attan
We are looking for girls and boys who are willing to perform the attan and/or take part in the Afghan dance. If you are interested please contact:

Fashion show
The aim of the fashion show is to showcase Afghan clothes (men’s and women’s) from different part of Afghanistan. If you have clothes that will be appropriate for this section or if you are willing to model clothes, then please get in contact with:

Exhibition
This section consists of photographs, books, artefacts, rugs from Afghanistan. If you have any thing that would be appropriate for this section, please get in contact with: akbar@afghancouncil.org or tayeb@afghancouncil.org
